Jon Coulter Photography is a subsidiary of Coulter Technology Group, LLC and is based in the heart of the Tennessee Valley a few miles west of Huntsville, Alabama. We supply professional photography and videography services to customers nationwide.
I have relaized that my goal in life is not to be rich or famous.
My purpose in life is not just to take beautiful pictures
or even to be the best photographer in the world.
My goal is to be better prepared to respond to
whatever need this world presents to me.
To free myself of limitations that life and
others might try to place on me.
To continue to grow in all that I do
and help others do the same.
To be happy in the moment
and enjoy life to the fullest.
To give others more than I
can afford, and one day
Lord willing... reach my
full God given potential.
I live in the Athens Alabama, with my wonderful wife Suzanne and have two very special daughters. I am an aspiring photographer and videographer in my free time, but managing major major accounts for ANSYS Inc is what currently pays most of the bills.
I grew up in Muscle Shoals Alabama in the 70's where southern rock, muscle cars and girls took up most of my time. While I was in High School I became interested in photography but I didn't have much of a camera to work with in those days. After high school, I attended The University of North Alabama where I happened to take photography as an elective and the spark began to grow. Later, after transferring to Auburn University, I really began to enjoy photography after acquiring my first 35MM SLR and a couple of lenses that my Mom had managed to win in a contest. However, at that time photography mostly took a backseat to work, the pursuit of my Mechanical Engineering Degree, and the real passion of my life; Suzanne - my high school sweetheart and now my wife.
Over the years my career in Engineering has become more focused on computers and software, and my love for photography and videography has become more intense. A couple of my past jobs have exposed me to a lot of high-end hardware, techniques and special effects used in the broadcast and movie industry. Trying to apply these techniques to my pursuits and continuing to follow the latest digital trends in both Video Editing and Photography continues to keep me very busy.
My family and I are active members at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church in Athens, AL. Eventually the church staff found out about my passion and asked me to use my talents to help develop our growing Church Video Ministry. The Lord has blessed me greatly through serving as Video Ministry Director. I have witnessed first hand how the power of a photomontage or an inspired video can reach way down inside and touch a very personal place in someone's heart.
As the Lord continued to bless my life, and as I had more and more opportunities to be involved in various projects, Coulter Technology Group, LLC was born out of necessity.
